FROM OUR HEARTS TO YOURS...IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS!
The Welker's are a Southern Gospel Music Trio from Silsbee, Texas.
A pastor friend of our's some years ago, suggested that our motto should be, "From our heart to yours...I'ts all about JESUS!" Of course JESUS is the reason why we sing and we are humbled and greatful for the call that He has placed in our hearts to Share Jesus in Song.
Dan and Donnah Welker have been singing together since 1991, right after giving their hearts and lives to The Lord. They traveled as a duo for about 4 years or so, before they, with a friend organized a band called Destiny. As that season began to come to an end, much prayer and consideration they decided to regroup as The Welker's. In September 2007, after the decision was made, the phone began to ring and door's began to open. Dan and Donnah celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on December 30, 2008 and make their home in Silsbee, Texas.
Jamie Welker Clements sang with mom and dad in the group Destiny along side her husband Joe. Joe works a very busy schedule providing for his family. He has graciously given Jamie his blessing to join The Welker's. What a blessing to have her along. Jamie and Joe celebrated 10 years marriage in November 2009. God gave them an awesome gift in the way of a three year old son, Cade, in November 2005. Then in July 2008 they were blessed with a new born, Keeton, that the doctor's said wasn't possible. Then again in April 2010 a baby girl, Mackenzie. They also make their home is Silsbee. GOD IS FAITHFUL

A word from Jamie: July 2009. Cade's adoption was finalized in August 2008. Today I finally got his (and Keeton's) birth certificates. It was so awesome to see our names on there as his parents. No more"adoptive mom." It simply stated that I am his mother and Joe is his father. It also shows that he was born at 4:26 am. When I told him what time he was born he asked "was I cute?" He thought that is was really cool that we picked out his name for him just like we picked out Keeton's name. He knows that his name used to be different because of various Dr. appointments and things like that. He would always get deffensive when someone would call him by the old name. He would always yell and say, "My name is Cade Clements." And after getting his birth certifcate and having his name changed on other documcents it hit me. NO MORE! No more do I have to try to figure out if they need his biological parents info or mine. No more writing down Cade to realize there is no record of him under that name. And no more do I have to carry around a folder of papers that give us permission to call him mine! He is ours and we are his forever!
Lord we Thank You for the doors You have opened as well as those you have closed!
Some of my greatest memories from my childhood was going to church with my Granny to an Assembly of God church in Hillister. So very well do I remember standing next to her, feeling so small. (She was 6ft) Yet feeling so tall singing 'Smile a while and give your face are rest, Raise your hands to the one you love the best." When I think of that time I feel safe. That feeling comes only from the Grace and Mercy that God gives us-His children. Do you have peace that passes all understanding. It comes in knowing Jesus. Just knowing about him is not enough. Ask Him to be Lord of your life. Ask Him into your heart today. He is ready, willing and able to meet you right where you are. Don't wait. Tommorow may be to late. I Love You! Donnah
